Calvary Baptist Church – Boalsburg, PA
Lobar Engineering is in the process of designing the structure for a new two-story 42,000 SF church.  The elevated slab is framed with composite steel beams and girders.  The roof system is comprised of long span joists that span between 50 and 100 feet.  The building features a several large multi-purpose rooms, a two-story atrium and classrooms.  The majority of the structure is to be left exposed.  The lateral system shall consist of steel bracing.  The design for this design-build project is being performed for Patrick Morgan Architect, Inc. from Colorado Springs, CO.

Carlisle 1st Church of God – Carlisle, PA
Lobar Engineering led the design team and performed the structural design for the design-build project.  The single-story 10,500 SF addition is framed with engineered wood trusses supported by a combination of load-bearing masonry block and structural metal studs.  The trusses over the fellowship hall span 60 feet and are a scissor design to create a cathedral ceiling.  The exterior façade is brick to match the existing structure.  The building has a system of continuous strip footings for the foundation.
